Just drag your video file onto the batch-file and let ffmpeg do it's work. Now save it as "to_mp4.bat" (Make sure it's NOT changed to ".bat.txt"!) This will create a (visually) lossless video. My question is: Does the Lightworks Pro version eliminate this problem by providing an exported file format that works with standard Windows Media, Quick Time or any other such main stream players WITHOUT the need to download and add the Matrox VFW codec or any other codec?įfmpeg -i %1 -c:v libx264 -crf 18 -preset slow -c:a libvo_aacenc -b:a 192k %1.mp4 However, I do not want everyone that wishes to view these files to have to go through the problem of finding and downloading the codec pack and installing it on every computer out there. I have already come across the problem of no video playback after exporting a file and solved the issue by downloading the Matrox VFW Codecs for Windows Media Player. My problem/question deals with saving/exporting a file. I can import, edit video & audio, move clips around, do transitions and effects and pretty much whatever I would need to do to create a complete video/movie. I’ve been using Lightworks for several weeks now and have a basic grasp of using the free version. I am an amateur (very amateur) video editor/hobbyist.
